Historia
Este alabado es typicalmenta cantada durante la Santa Comunión y entierradas. Cantada por el difunto, esto alabado es un postura para ayudar la alma entrar en los cielos y se refere a Jesús a "esposo de mi alma" para emular la cercanía entre el difunto y el "Dulce Esposo de mi Alma," Jesús. El himno decribe a Jesús descendiera del cielo a asumir el cuerpo humano como un humano "sayal".

Sweet Spouse of my Soul
History
This alabado is usually sung during Holy Communion and at funerals. Sung for funerals, this Alabado is a posture to assist the soul to enter heaven and refers to Jesus as the "spouse of my soul" to emulate the closeness between the deceased and the "Sweet Husband of my Soul" Jesus. The hymn describes Jesus's descending from heaven to assume the human body as a"sackcloth" to be one with mankind and 'wed you to me" sang before the burial.
